These light soldiers are made up from inhabitants of the steppes. Unarmored but equipped with shield and a scimitar.
The Al-Haqa are made up of inhabitants of the steppes. Egyptians and Arabs are not permitted to become Mamluks, while the sons of Mamluks are considered second class, as they were not born on the Steppes as "true Turks". Nevertheless the Daylami are important soldiers, often in service to their Shah alongside the Kwarezmians.
